Mike calls for better access to police9.25.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 6th May 2008 Mike wrote on May 5th to the Wilts and Glos Standard "News that people in the north of Wiltshire will again be able to go inside the Malmesbury and Cricklade police stations (Wilts and Glos Standard, 1 May) is very welcome. I congratulate Brian Moore, Wiltshire's New Chief Constable, for reversing the unpopular and counter-productive decision of his predecessor. Many local residents have told me how unhappy they were about the closures and I'm pleased that Wiltshire Constabulary has listened to concerns that they, I and many other local people expressed. It sends a great signal that Mr Moore wants his officers and the public to work together to combat crime in Wiltshire."
