Andrew with Ed Davey and Jo SwinsonAndrew Bryant, local FOCUS community newsletter editor and Trowbridge's youngest ever Mayor is standing to be our next Councillor.

"I am delighted to be selected to stand for Drynham," said Andrew.

"Trowbridge and local residents have been let down continuously by the Conservatives. There are urgent priorities for action.

Our town centre needs sorting and affordable homes for local people should be included as part of the development of the Bowyers site. We also need to ensure Trowbridge remains separate from North Bradley, by protecting the open green space from development.

Our young people deserve the very best in education and recreation. However, local schools remain cash starved compared to other areas of the country and the Conservatives have scrapped our entire county Youth Service. As a former teacher and volunteer youth worker I believe this is shameful and the Conservatives are simply creating long-term problems for the sake of short-term financial gains.

Crime is a constant and growing concern, particularly drug dealers preying on vulnerable young people. The Conservatives' cuts to our police funding and the reduction of foot patrols is both wrong, and dangerous!

Finally our roads need sorting. I'm shocked by the number of local residents whose vehicles have been damaged by potholes. A significant amount of your taxes has been used for compensation. Let's get our roads fixed and prevent damage from occurring in the first place!

I'm in a close fight with the Conservatives here, but for all these reasons, I am determined to win. I would greatly appreciate your support on July 4th."

Energy, experience and results for you, Drynham and Trowbridge.
