Residents on Chelworth Road have been concerned about unauthorised traffic from the trading estate and excessive speeding. Following a period of over two years the southern end of Chelworth Road has now been reduced to 40mph.
"This is a good start but I am disappointed the limit has not been extended along the road's full length especially following a recent accident in the derestricted area. I will continue to fight for a lower speed limit on the remainder of the road despite highways engineers insistence the area is safe," said Wiltshire Councillor Bob Jones.
